ISC-SCIENCE has been providing ICP-MS training courses in Spain and Portugal for more than 15 years. This course is mainly aimed at training laboratory technicians in ICP-MS, however, we have also taught courses at universities and research centers to doctoral students and postdocs. Our trainers are highly qualified analytical chemists with extensive experience in the use of ICP-MS.

What will be taught in the course:
- Theoretical introduction to ICP-MS.
- Fundamentals, instrumentation and operation.
- Spectral and non-spectral interference.
- Quantification procedure.
- In-depth explanation of the different functionalities of the ICP-MS software for instrument handling and data processing.
- Creation and fine-tuning of methods of interest for different metals, matrices and calibration ranges.
- Advice on the control of analytical blanks and avoidance of potential metal contamination in the laboratory.
- Explanation of ICP-MS preventive maintenance.
- Advice on the implementation and validation of methods in the field of quality (ISO 17025).
