Since our founding in 2003, ISC-SCIENCE has been at the forefront of conducting internal quality audits for chemical analysis laboratories. Our Expertise
Our team consists of seasoned professionals and newer additions, all with substantial experience in internal auditing under standards such as UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025, UNE-EN ISO 9001, and other quality standards across various sectors. We employ qualified lead auditors who bring a wealth of experience from both daily laboratory operations and consulting. This dual perspective ensures we understand the laboratory’s context and communicate effectively in its language.
We also collaborate with experts proficient in the analytical techniques being audited and reference standards, all of whom are qualified auditors under UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025.
Internal Quality Audit Objectives

We conduct follow-up and scope extension audits, providing constructive proposals for improvement that add value. While on-site audits are preferred for optimal results, we are flexible and can perform audits remotely if needed. Our comprehensive reports meet the documentation requirements of relevant standards.

Phases of a quality management audit
Prior to the on-site audit, we carry out a study of the documentation associated with both the Laboratory’s management system and the technical documentation (testing and associated procedures – Documentation Study) at our facilities.
Documentation Review: Prior to the on-site audit, we review the laboratory’s management system documentation and technical procedures at our facilities. We coordinate our team to carry it out by proposing the Audit Program.

Audit Execution: We start by understanding the laboratory, its scope, and expectations. This allows us to tailor the audit for maximum benefit. Our team coordinates and proposes an audit program, identifies areas for improvement, and highlights strengths, all while working collaboratively with the laboratory. Findings are documented in a detailed audit report.
